Barnsley Town Hall
Another tick and a badge for my camera bag! Taking shots in a town centre obviously throws up its challenges – and today’s challenge was Barnsley Town Hall.
We’d known Matt the groom, for years. He was Best Man at our own wedding, so this was obviously a bit special to see him standing next to Zoe to taking his own vows.
Big fancy staircases for the formals. Quick lob of confetti before we’re chased off and handed a bill. Best Man stopping the traffic for us all (whilst the rights were still on green!). All board the bus to take us to Cannon Hall for a few cheeky shots in the gardens. (The driver of said bus was very knowledgeable!)
Mini bottles of bubbles. Biblical rain and huddling under umbrellas. Back on the bus and off to The Spencer Arms for the reception.
Check the emerging blue sky. Up the stairs with grass on them. Rustic wedding breakfast room – nice! Cosy, quirky and welcoming! Comedy cake toppers! Speeches…!
Back outside for some intimacy up a brick wall. Wait for cars to pass to pass first though eh! First Dance. Beer. Home. Another beer. Images backed up and checked. Bed!
If you’re thinking of getting married in that neck of the woods, you might like to check this wedding out too! Also, if it’s a City Centre venue you’re after, have a look at Bertie’s in Elland!
