Lake District Wedding – New House Farm
New House Farm – Lake District with Daz & Aimée!
Wedding Photographer Leeds is such a narrow title isn’t it? That’s why we cover weddings all over the UK, and we go much further than that too!
Easter Bank Holiday saw Clare and I packing up the car, heading for the heart of the Lake District. Two of our closest friends, Darren & Aimée, were getting married. We had the privilege of covering their day for them.
It’s fair to say that we feel the pressure with every wedding we cover. When you do this for friends, (Darren the groom was an usher at our own wedding!), the pressure is soooo much more!
We always knew this wedding was going to be special, as they’re a prefect couple and they had the perfect venue. Sadly the weather was less than perfect, as it chucked it down all day long!
The amount of nerves they both had on the day was balanced perfectly. Aimée’s wedding dress was stunning. Daz had really pulled the stops out with his suit! He rocked up in a tailored made tweed suit, complete with the date of the wedding stitched to the underside of the collar.
They had both made it clear that we had to be guests as well as the official photographers. Difficult balance for us? Nope! When they saw how we worked on the day, they knew we were enjoying it as much as everyone else. To be honest, that’s the approach we take at every wedding. We probably enjoy it a lot more than many guests, as we’re so much closer to everything that’s going on.
That said, at 7pm we were told to put the cameras away and “get on it”. We did as our told. After the images had been back up safely of course.
Several pints and Sambuca shots later, we’d truly caught up with everyone. We didn’t call it a day until we left them in the bridal suite at 3am eating cold pizza. Wearing dressing gowns!
Spot on in our minds! 🙂
