Red Lion Burnsall Wedding Photography
The Red Lion Burnsall is a stunning place at any time of the year. Whether you’re dropping in to warm up from walking the hills, or if you’re booted and suited – like people were for Michael & Emma’s wedding.
The pre-wedding shoot was held at the venue for a change. To be honest, any excuse to visit the Red Lion Burnsall and we’re there!
When the wedding day arrived, we already knew which shots we’d be taking where. This meant there was no wasted time. So there was hardly any interruption to the drinking that went on that day!
It was a doubly special day, as it was Clare’s birthday. We all know how it sucks when you have to work on your birthday. Being the top people they are, Myk and Emma thanked Clare personally in the speech for giving up her day. Then they presented her with a massive bouquet of flowers! Needless to say, when they started saying “Thank you to Clare”, Clare actually looked around to see who they were talking to, so she could get a reaction shot… until she realise they were talking to her, and I got the reaction shot! 😁
The weather was perfect. The autumn colours we had to play with by the river were spoiling us. The views that you get from the bridge at the Red Lion Burnsall, where we took a few shots are… well, just wow!!
The day went far to quickly, as it was definitely one of the best wedding of 2015 for us, so after the cake cutting, we got prepared for the first dance shots, and then to say our goodbyes. 20 seconds into the dance, I heard a hissing. It was the dreaded hiding of a smoke machine! NOOOOOOOO!
Knowing that I’d only got a very limited time before they were lost in the mist, I fired of a series of shots. Thankfully, each and everyone one of them was perfect, so rather than deleting them and only picking one, they had a load to look back on in years to come. Mr & Mrs Rimmer, we thank you for everything.
