Rogerthorpe Manor Wedding Photography
The title for this blog page should’ve probably said Doorstep Wedding Photographer, as opposed to Wakefield Wedding Photographer as Emmie and Ryan live about 4 minutes from us.
We were back at Rogerthorpe Manor, this time nice and early for Emma’s prep shots, and when we walked in to see empty bottles of Prosseco, we knew it was going to be a good day!
Their room was big and spacious, with plenty of light – happy days! – but the hair and makeup were done in a small cut out round the corner with no windows! Difficult to say the least as you all know I’m to built for small spaces! lol
Detail shots done, I left Clare to look after them all as I headed over to see what Ryan was up to. As always, it was a different chilled out vibe with the lads, and they were all glued to Soccer Am, along with a steady flow of beers, hip flasks and coffee for me!
11 ties tied, cufflinks and collars sorted, we all set off back to Rogerthorpe. The Groomsmen headed for the bar, and I headed back upstairs to see what was going on. Knocking on the door, I received shouts of “NOOOO! Not Yet!” …. as Emmie was just stepping into her dress. 4 minutes later, and modesty intact, I went in and was greeted by a stunning bride, bridesmaids and Clare smiling away as she’d captured it all brilliantly!
Groom and best man shots done, we all ducked inside from the moody looking grey clouds, and waited for Emmie to arrive. Ceremony done. Tears wiped. Register signed. Hanging out of a tiny window. Done. Let the boozing commence!
Speeches laughed at. A guest drinking from a saucer (I kid you not!). Shots from the bar.
Back outside for some more shots, and we couldn’t have been happier. The first dance arrived, along with the giddy stress I always get, and it was great ….. and then it went to the next level as the Brides father took Ryan’s place and busted some moves for all the camera phones, smiles and laughter of the guests. What a top day …. and it only took 10 minutes to get home afterwards too! I love being a Doorstep Wedding Photographer …. sorry ….. I meant Wakefield Wedding Photographer! 😉
