Sweeney Hall Hotel
Sweeney Hall Hotel weddings are a bit special. We’ve done 2 of them now, and we love this place!
It really does get on my pip when people feel the need to say “Same sex marriage“. I’m glad that I live in a time, when love is recognised whatever you preferred orientation is… exactly how it should be!
Martyn & Sam picked both a beautiful venue, and a beautiful day to get married. Sweeney Hall Hotel in Oswestry is a bit special, so have a look if you get chance!
Granted, it was a really early start for me, but it was so worth it! Both of the handsome grooms had some nerves to get rid of, and when I gave them 5 minutes to calm themselves down. It seemed to work …. to be fair it could have been the Gin, but hey, whatever works!
The theme for the wedding was the glitz and glamour of Hollywood; complete with a huge Marilyn Monroe made from ice!
The guests all played their part too, and dressed for the occasion in Dinner Jackets and ballgowns, complete with feather boas of course! (Even their lovely little Pug dressed for the occasion!).
The day seemed to get hotter and hotter, so plenty of cooling alcohol was consumed, and we had to work hard to avoid lots of squinty pictures because it was so bright! (not that I’m complaining of course, as it’s better than rain!)
Formal speeches were thankfully short and amusing, and then the three of us went for a wander to get some shots on our own. As expected, with the personalities we had between the 3 of us, I managed to get some belters.
Reception guests arrived for the night, car after car, and Martyn and Sam went to change for the first dance. They burst into the room where the gathered guests were, in professional dancing tops. Complete with tightness and sparkle as you’d expect. Awesome day all round!!
My only regret about the whole thing is that Clare didn’t get to cover it with me, as she’d have absolutely loved these guys! 🙂
