The West Tower Wedding Photography, Ormskirk
I doth’d my Wedding Photographer Liverpool hat for this wedding. A cloth cap of course, as it was a Peaky Blinder themed wedding! This was always going to be a bit different. Add to this the 5pm ceremony, on Bonfire night, and you know it’s very different!
We arrived at The West Tower, in with Darren & Keylee, mid-afternoon to start the prep shots. It felt very strange starting so late in the day, but the timings were great for us for a change!
Kaylee and the bridesmaids were all together in a large room, hairdryers, makeup, dressing gowns and bubbles included. Large window? Of course. Plenty of light? Sadly no, but we made the most of what sunlight was left!
Darren, the groom, was en route, so I made the most of the peace and quiet to get the venue shots before parked cars were abandoned. Cake and decorations – tick!
Having found the Best Men in the bar, giving their speeches the once over, I waited for Darren. He arrived, and suddenly there was only an hour to go! We managed to get a handful of shots outside, just before the sun say farewell. I think the lads were thankful they’ve all worn tweed suits and flat caps, as dusk has bought a wintery chill with it. We were now standing at the alter looking at our watches, wondering what had happened to the time.
The girls appeared at the top of the steps. As they’d left a proper gap between them walking towards Darren, the shots were all captured without the need for panicking.
He did, she did, they do. Introducing the new Mr & Mrs Farley. Signing, smiles and flashes galore!
As they hadn’t prepared a list of formals, chaos ensued. It was only the cold that helped speed them up! The 4 of us then crept off to get some personal shots, just for Kaylee and Darren. Off flash and light stands at the ready.
Hog roast devoured, speeches delivered, outside for fireworks it was time to hit the motorway back to Yorkshire.
