Waterton Park Wedding Photography in Wakefield
Waterton Park Wedding with Steph & Kris
Wakefield Wedding Photographer? That was the first question we were asked at Waterton Park. It’s is a lovely venue, and it’s very well know, but in terms of photographers, they don’t seem to like anyone except the people they approve. So we did a really great job for Steph and Kris in December!
Steph, the bride, her prep shots were a bit difficult to say the least. Although the room was really big, there was only one tiny window at the end of it. The makeup artist didn’t like anyone in her space either! However as we have a responsibility to the couple, we made sure we still got the shots they wanted. Needed and expected!
Kris, the groom, on the other hand was much easier. He had a massive room with plenty of light.
There was a nice atmosphere about the venue, as it was dressed ready for Christmas. Steph and Kris chose at the same colour scheme for their wedding, so everything complimented everything else.
Apart from the 2 large pillars in the ceremony room, and it was a nice intimate. We were quickly outside in the cold ready for the group formals. We did these in 2 chunks, one by the bridge, the other in front of the house.
The Christmas vibe continued through the day. We were asked to take many pictures in front of the beautifully decorated real trees, that were scattered around the venue. To add to this, we were introduced to a snow machine! Not very natural I know, but the results were great, and look very realistic. I think I might invest in a one, just to use it around the house for whenever I want that Christmassy feel any time I feel like it.
I’ll obviously have to run this past Mrs C! Wakefield Wedding Photographer… and Master of the Snow Machine!
